Favourite Computer Game?
“Half Life 2 without a shadow of a doubt.” He informed me after I put forward the question.
“Really, nothing else comes close?”
“No. I played Doom 3 for a bit. It was scary, but got repetitive after a while.”
I paused, in amazement at what I had just heard. We shared a moment of silence before I asked – still gob-smacked at what he had just revealed:
“You got scared playing Doom 3?”
“Sure,” he explained, “There were zombies coming out of nowhere in the pitch dark – don't get me wrong, it was no where near as scary as fighting Doc Oct on top of that train where I genuinely stood a chance that I might die – but it still doesn't mean that something suddenly jumping out where you're not expecting it to doesn't surprise me.”
Given the fact that both games were 18 months old, it was obvious that Spiderman's occupation meant he had little time to keep up to date with the latest releases. As much as I wanted to probe into his gaming history though, it was not why I had met him on top of the world's tallest buildings in the middle of winter.
We needed to get down to business.
What did Spiderman think of the cartoons published in Europe depicting the prophet Mohammed as a suicide bomber? |
