It took me a while to get the wording on this right to make sure it didn't come across as a rape joke, so no one (sane) would think it was anything other than a joke about a one night stand.

When Apple announced Siri, HAL9000 began trending on Twitter as everyone started comparing Siri to him. However Siri, and the majority of voice control systems on mobile devices, are nothing like HAL. Indeed, they rely on offloading the processing to remote servers. If HAL used this method it would take nearly 90 minutes for Siri to open the Pod Bay Doors.
