Vlogging seems to be growing in popularity despite all reason suggesting that it shouldn't. I mean, if 10 years ago we had been told that some of the most viewed video channels on the Internet were just videos of random strangers ranting about their opinion about something or someone to their webcam I doubt many would have believed it.

Of course, this is not to trivialise all vlog channels. Some are very well produced, full of wit and interesting information. However, the good ones aren't usually primarily a vlog, they are just using the vlog format for something else. They are either to be educational, to be informative or to be funny.

I don't get why so many vlog channels where someone just tells you their opinion on something are so popular. I mean, I know these are often on controversial issues, so many people will either be watching to validate their own opinion, or to find someone with the opposite opinion to be angry about/troll/laugh at/use as a straw man - but at the end of the day, it's just a random person on the Internet. Their opinion is no more valid than yours (and that doesn't just relate to people on the Internet, it relates to most people).

Anyway, this might not be a typical comic for me, and for those of you who wanted something a little more traditional, don't worry, normal service will resume on Monday.
