Comic #79 : "Celebrity Crush"

When I watched Voyager as a teenager it was difficult to see past Jeri Ryan's sex appeal and consequently I never took her character seriously - I thought it had just been brought in to sex up the show to boost the TV ratings

However, I recently watched a rerun of Voyager on TV and I got a whole new appreciation for the show, and particularly the performances of the cast. While Star Trek may have suffered a bit from franchise fatigue by the time it got to Voyager, and the story ideas tended to be rehashed concepts from previous shows, Voyager actually had the strongest character development of any of the seasons.

Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) and Tim Russ (Tuvok) in particular deserve praise for what they brought to their parts.
