Comic #86 : "Inconvenience"
Friday 6th September 2013
In England we call any time off from work "Holiday" and as such you fill in a "Holiday Form" when you want to take time off (or you call in pretending you have the flu if you forget) - however I've learned that in America "Holiday" refers just to the time off at Christmas.
Of course, if you have a job interview then you just say you are going to the Dentist. However, to avoid making it look suspicious and going to the Dentist too often, we cut out going to the Dentist for real. Which is probably a good thing, because despite Americans thinking we don't have any, we do have dentists in the UK. We just don't go because they are both really busy.
