FAQ: SatireSearch and Humorfeed - February 20th 2002
UPDATE
From 20th February 2004, Random Perspective will be listed on HumorFeed.com - I also have had my server upgraded (December 2003) and the site's downtime has been significantly reduced. Thank you for continuing to visit Random Perspective.
15th July 2003
As the Webmaster of Random Perspective, I am keen to expose my visitors to as much web based satire as possible. As a result, I have chosen to list the two news feeds SatireSearch and Humorfeed on my news pages to provide you with as much external content as possible.
Until recently, Random Perspective was a member of SatireSearch; however due to a list of terms of conditions set up, I was only able to continue as a member if I exclusively ran the SatireSearch feed or paid money for any traffic sent to me by SatireSearch.
As Random Perspective is a hobby site and is therefore entirely non-commercial, it is funded entirely out my own pocket and I cannot afford to pay for that traffic. Any money I do save up is being set aside for a server upgrade to end the long periods of downtime caused when the ASP emulator crashes on my current server
However, I will not be withdrawing the SatireSearch feed as until recently I have been more than happy with the service provided. Also to remove the feed would contradict with my policy of exposing my users to Satire. Please continue to visit the sites listed below on the right hand tool bar, as many of them are just as funny, and in some case funnier, than a lot of what I publish here.
If you have any further questions, or have any queries/comments about any other aspect of Random Perspective do not hesitate to email me.
-Ben Dickson Webmaster, Random Perspective.
