Iraqi Information Minister to Host “Have I Got News For You” - April 9th 2003

It was revealed today that the reason that Iraqi Information Minister Mohammed Saeed Sahhaf did not appear to make his daily announcement to journalists this morning was because he was recruited by the BBC to present the hit TV show: “Have I Got News For You”

It appears that Mr Sahhaf caught the producers’ eyes following his “frankly hilarious” comments on current affairs.

It is expected that whilst the show’s format will remain relatively unchanged, a new dynamic will be added to the relationship between the host and the team captains since it is likely that Sahhaf will side with Hislop in most shows making claims like: “And today’s glorious winner is Ian with a score of 5, whilst Paul is comprehensively beaten having lost with a abysmal score of 452.”

It is also expected he will revive his famous catch phrase from the war when pushed into a corner by the Hislop and Merton by claiming “I am in control!!”
