To celebrate the pointless milestone of writing 100 news articles, Random Perspective has released a crappy, nauseating ‘clip show’ listing the editor’s favourite articles.
Critics have been quick to point out that this is actually the 123rd article added to the site, but this is the 100th news story.
“It’s a bit annoying, because there are other parts of the site that update with stuff, like flash animations, longer multi-paged articles, and editorials. They’re just being ignored, people are just interested in the news.”
Another critic retorted, “I believe there were at least 50 Geocities websites registering their 10,000th updates today. And they didn’t get reported about.”
The editor, Ben Dickson, denies that this is all a ploy to generate publicity for his website, which appeals to many different audiences with it’s variety of content to appeal to all ages, but is genuine news that should interest many people.
“Random Perspective started out as my own personal website in November 2002. But until recently only a couple of articles attracted attention. Now, as I write this 100th article, I’m getting more traffic. I think it’s only fair that some of the older stuff that I made gets recognised by people.”
His top 10 updates are listed as follows:
10.Bush Gets Lost on Middle East Roadmap and Demands Wal-Mart Disarms
9. Bush can Name All Enemy Nations – but can he spell them?
8. Osama Bin Laden Streaks through Washington DC
7. Jedi Knights' Plan Backfires
6. Random Perspective Demands “Replace That Fascist Union Flag Now”
5. Labour Considers Axing The Conservative Party
4. 'Iraq' the only the word in New English Dictionary
3. Spider: “My Image was used without my permission”
1. Bush beat Hans Blix at ‘Hide and Seek’
This might surprise people, but this is my favourite article for many reasons. Firstly, it’s
HTTP 40404 Error. This page has suffered an overdose of self indulgence and has caused your browser to crash.
